🎈 Birthday Wish List 🎁

35 Simply Splendid DIY Balloon Decorations For Your Celebration

So today is my BIRTHDAY!!! 🎉🎉🎉

In celebration of my own birth (obvs), I thought I'd put together a wish list of my ideal birthday presents. Don't worry friends and family, I definitely don't expect any of this stuff - It's just a little fun! 🎂

I have always been dying to try Diptyque candles, but they are so so expensive 😭 I just can't justify buying them for myself! This little trio would be the perfect way to introduce someone to the brand. Apparently, they all smell gorgeous lit together too! 😍

Image result for on my ouai kit
Another brand I'm dying to try! Everyone from Kim Kardashian to Queer Eye uses Ouai products. They are so overhyped but I'd love to give them a go and see if they're worth it! This little kit is so cute, and perfect for traveling. It contains loads of the most talked about products, so would be a perfect starter kit! 💆🏻

Escentric Molecules Molecule 01
If you're an OG YouTube watcher you will definitely remember this fragrance! 😉 There was a time when everyone used to use this perfume, and I've been thinking about it ever since... It's meant to work with your pheromones to produce the perfect perfume for the individual - meaning it smells different on every person. With a hefty price tag, it isn't in most people budgets. If you've got the cash, it would be an amazing gift!

Image result for nike training flex trainers black

Sorry, this is a pretty boring one. I've been wearing my Puma Sequence Trainers for months now, and they are absolutely wrecked. I'm now in desperate need of some new gym trainers ASAP! I am not a running shoe snob in the slightest - as long as they are functional and look good I don't care. I spotted these simple black Nikes on ASOS. Affordable and go with everything! 👍🏻

Image result for HUDA BEAUTY Rose Gold Remastered Palette
I have been lusting after this palette for the longest time! I love the warm shades, I love the berry shades - It's just gorgeous 😍😍😍 I have heard such good things about Huda Beauty eyeshadows, too, so I can't wait to get my hands on some ASAP.

Image result for Huda Beauty Contour & Strobe Lip Set in Bombshell and Ritzy
Yep, another Huda Beauty product! I have seen these lip sets everywhere, and I am so tempted to pick one up! It comes with a full lipliner, a mini liquid lipstick, and a mini lip strobe 💄 It is such a perfect set and ideal for keeping in your handbag!

What do you ask for when it's your birthday? Have you gifted anything seriously amazing this year? Let me know!

Beachy Summer Hair Essentials 🌊

p i n t e r e s t || sarahesilvester

Beachy hair is so perfect for summer, especially when you're hot and can't be bothered! It is the ultimate lazy girl hair. It can be messy, it can be crazy, it doesn't have to be perfect - I love it! 🏝️

Today I'm giving a rundown of my essentials for beachy looking hair. This is everything you need for quick, effortless summer hair!

Image result for hello hydration herbal essences
Okay, so before we get into all the salt sprays, I need to talk about this stuff. This is my new fave shampoo and conditioner! It is so moisturising on my hair, it's perfect for dry and damaged hair. The best thing about it is the coconutty smell 😍 Now normally I absolutely hate coconut, but this smell is DIVINE! It actually makes you feel like you're on holiday! ☀️ 'Beachy' products are normally full of chemicals that aren't great for your hair, especially if you're then going to go out in the sun. This shampoo and conditioner is the best stuff to use to prep your hair! 💆🏻

Image result for Umberto Giannini Mermaid Hair Volume Mousse
Ahhh I love this bottle! It's so cute!!! 🐟 I love this volume mousse, it isn't drying at all. It's packed full of coconut oil and has UV protection too which is fab. Once you've washed your hair, scrunch this stuff into your hair and dry it with a big diffuser to keep it messy.

Image result for vo5 volume powder
Now people either love or hate this stuff - I love it! I just think it gives insane volume and texture that you cant get anywhere else! It gives super beachy gritty hair, which isn't everyone's cup of tea but I loooove 😍 Just sprinkle a bit onto your roots and massage in! 💆🏻

Image result for bumble surf spray
Would this even be a beachy hair post if it didn't include Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray?! 😂 I'm sorry, I know it's so overhyped - but it's so worth it!!! I love spraying it all over dry hair(except my roots) and scrunching my hair about... It gives the ultimate surfer hair texture 😍

Image result for elnett hairspray
And finally, hairspray! People think they can just chuck in some salt spray and go, but in my opinion, it really doesn't hold all day. By the end of the day, my hair just looks dirty and gritty. Once you've perfected your beachy waves you have to lock it all in place with some hairspray. My all-time fave is L'Oreal Elnett 💖

What are your beachy hair essentials? Is there anything else you do for perfect summer tresses?

Anthropologie SALE: Top Picks 💸

Image result for anthropologie shop

Recently I was looking for a present for a friend, and I thought I'd have a browse through the Anthropologie website. 'Yeah right!' I thought, scrolling lustfully 💭... I've never really had the budget to shop at the homeware places that I really really love.

However, I had a quick look at their sale section and was SO surprised at how affordable and great the stuff in there was! I normally hate sales - It's usually all rubbish or not really that much cheaper. But the Anthropologie sales are really fab!

I thought I'd pick out a few of my faves from the current sale - Who knows it might inspire someone!

1. Gilded Shapes Mug (£2.95)
How cute are these mugs?! 😍 I am so tempted to get one for myself. I would have never paid £10 for a mug, but for £2.95 these are such a bargain! They would make a really cute personal gift or just a treat for yourself!

I'm so into hanging home decor at the moment - and I absolutely love these hanging votives! Their gorgeous neutral colours would go with just about any home. I think these would look so lovely hanging off a few branches in the garden. I can just imagine how they'd look at night with little burning tea lights in them 😍✨

Don't ask why, but I've got a real thing about coasters 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think they can really make a home look lovely, and they are normally quite an affordable touch! These gorgeous glass coasters are such good quality, and I adore the gold edging.

4. Lioness Stapler (£6.95)
Ok, so I'm aware this is a weird one... But I just think this is so badass! 🦁 For a start, how cool are lionesses?! And then the gold?! I love it! 😍 I can just imagine having a really cool sleek home office and having this on the desk. I don't think I'd even ever use it!

5. Mollie Pot (£7.95)
I've never really been green-fingered myself, but I love this planter! 💐 The oblong geometric shape of it is so different, and I love the pastel colours too. This would look so cool planted with a cute cactus or succulent! 🌵

This triangular trinket dish is adorable! I love anything marble of course, and the earthy shapes on this one really add something different. This would be a super cute affordable gift!

So there are my top picks from the current Anthropologie sale! Which homeware stores have you been loving at the moment? Have you found any bargains?!

What's In My Bag?

I have a pretty boring life at the moment.

I wake up, go to work and go to the gym... That's about it! So my bag is always concise and practical. It also doubles up as my gym bag - I almost always keep my gym stuff in my bag in case my plans change and I need to quickly fit in a workout.

I thought I would share what my current bag looks like, with all the wonders that come with it!

1. Hand Cream
Image result for elemis rose hand cream
My current hand cream of choice is this one by Elemis. It's Jasmin and Rose so it smells gorgeous. It really sinks into the skin and feels a tiny bit oily which I love - There is nothing worse than slimy hand cream that just sits on top of your skin! It's made for skin AND nails, which is great because it really keeps my awful cuticles looking their best.

2. Hand Sanitizer
Image result for carex aloe vera hand gel
How exciting right?! Who would have thought I'd be picky about hand sanitizer. But I am! I absolutely hate the ones that just smell like pure alcohol, especially if you're feeling a bit worse for wear... This one is aloe vera scented so it smells super fresh - plus its really cheap and it works, enough said!

3. Powder
Image result for too faced powder\=
Who doesn't carry powder! It's such an essential for regular top-ups, especially when you're an oily little gremlin like me. My all-time favourite powder is this one by Too Faced - I've been using it for years. I know it's expensive but it is so finely milled so it sits perfectly on the skin. You can apply it all day long and it never looks cakey, and it really does fill in your pores and fine lines. I love it!

4. Gum
Image result for whitening extra gum uk
Not much more to say here... I always get the whitening ones though - Does it even work?!

5. Gym Kit
Image result for asda printed gym trousers
As I say I always carry my gym kit with me: sports bra, top, bottoms, socks and trainers. My favourite bottoms at the moment are these ones from Asda. They were £12.50!!! They're not see through at all and so so comfy. My current favourite Adidas sports bra, Ellesse top and Puma trainers are all from TK Maxx which is without a doubt the best place for discounted branded gym wear.

 6. Gym Accessories

4 Digit Combination Padlock - Lock for Gym, School, Employee Locker, Fence, Hasp and Outdoor Storage

I also carry my other gym essentials with me. My most recent purchase is this fab sturdy padlock I got on Amazon - It's so bright that I never lose my locker! I also carry the standard Nike water bottle, some over-ear headphones and these great microfibre sweat towels I got from TK Maxx which I love.

7. Hair Bands & Grips!
Image result for hair bands and grips
Of course! I always keep these in every single bag I own. The number of times I've forgotten a hair band for the gym and used it as an excuse to go home and order Dominos... Now I've got nothing stopping me!

What's in your current bag? Let me know!

ASOS 4505 Collection Wish List

It's typical, isn't it? As soon as you spend a bomb on gym clothes, your favourite brand comes out with its own activewear line!!! I was still super excited when ASOS dropped their gym wear collection. Their stuff is always great quality so I knew they'd make fab activewear. I thought it would be fun to put together a wish list of my favourite pieces from the collection, so here we go...

Image result for ASOS 4505 Moulded Sports Bra With Underwire
I am super picky about sports bras, and when I saw the 4505 range I was pretty disappointed. Most of the bras are really flimsy and thin. They are completely for aesthetics which is totally fine - but not for me. However, there was this one underwired sports bra which I was super happy about as a big boobed gal! I adore the colours and the panelling, and especially the big thick straps.

2. Black Leggings (£28)
Image result for ASOS 4505 Gym Legging With Mesh Panel Detail
Now, this is pretty pricey for a plain black legging. But when it's sportswear I think it's so important to invest if you're going to get great quality. Black leggings are complete essentials - plus the little white logo is so cute!

Image result for Training T-Shirt In Tight Fit khaki asos
I love this t-shirt! The colour is so nice, and I love the white logo across the arm - it looks so cool! I always have to have my gym tops in a tight fit because a baggy tee just gets me too hot and flustered!

Image result for VIDEO SHARE ASOS 4505 Mesh Sweat Top With Hood
I think this hoodie is so cute! Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't wear it normally - it's clearly activewear. But I love that because it will look good with whatever gym clothes you wear. I love the contrast between the black and the pink, and the tiny pocket is so helpful for when you don't want to take a bag to the gym.

5. Khaki Jacket (£45)
Image result for ASOS 4505 Jacket With Wide Ribbed Cuff And Neck Detail
This jacket is so cool! I would wear this every day whether I was at the gym or not! I love the deep khaki colour and the big ribbed cuffs and neck. This would be ideal to wear to and from the gym - especially in this freezing weather!

Image result for ASOS 4505 Puffer Shopper
I usually hate gym bags. They are ugly, purely practical and scream "I'm going to the gym!!!" This one, however, I love! It's definitely not a bag that you can use normally - it's clearly a gym bag. But it's so much cooler than your usual Nike P.E. bag. I love the cobalt blue, and how it's really on trend with the puffer material.

Have you bought anything from the 4505 collection? What do you think of it?

Spring Cleaning List for Twenty-Somethings

I am really into lifestyle blogs at the moment. I love anything to do with cleaning, organising and planning your life. Recently I’ve been reading a lot of ‘spring cleaning’ blog posts, but I’ve realised none of them apply to me!

I don’t own my own house, I just rent a room. I don’t have kids, it’s just me! That means that most things on a typical spring cleaning list I don’t need to do. So, I thought I’d put together a spring cleaning list for people like me. It will still make you feel super refreshed and organised, but it won’t take you all weekend!

1. Wash all your bedding and towels: Do this first so you can do everything else while it’s washing and drying.

2. Clean out your handbag: Clear out any rubbish and only keep the very essentials - diary, pen, keys, lip balm, powder, hand cream and hand sanitiser.

3. Re-organise your purse: Throw out any old receipts and only keep the loyalty cards that you really use!

4. Clear out your makeup: Chuck anything that is out of date or that you really don’t use and clean all your products and organisers with antibacterial wipes.

5. Wash your make up brushes: This is an essential! I’ve already written a blog post on this here.

6. Sort out your hair products: Do you really need all those old hairbrushes and mousses? Only keep what you’ll use!

7. Go through your clothes: Split it all into clothes you’ll keep, throw away and give to charity. Hang it all up in sections or fold it away super neatly – Don’t forget to pair up your socks!

8. Clear out your drawers and paperwork: Go through your bedside table, under your bed, and any drawers you have. Be brutal!

9. Clean your shoes: Scrub all your shoes thoroughly and consider machine washing any trainers that need it.

10. Wipe down all the surfaces: Buy a huge pack of antibacterial wipes and clean every surface you can.

11. Vacuum everywhere: And I mean everywhere – under the bed, behind furniture and even the cobwebs!

12. Re-familiarise yourself with your diary: Go through and remind yourself what you have coming up. Check your emails and texts and add any birthdays, social events or appointments you’ve missed.

13. Update your CV: Crack out your old CV and LinkedIn and make sure it’s all up to date. You never know when you might need it!

14. Re-organise your Spotify: Delete the songs you’re sick of and take a bit of time to find some new favourites!

15. Refresh your beauty treatments: Do your eyebrows, wax your upper lip and paint your nails.

16. Now indulge! Now you’ve done all that cleaning it’s time to relax! Shower, exfoliate and shave to get rid of any dirt or cleaning products on you. Then do a facemask, put on a hair mask and smother yourself in body butter!

You’re done!

International Women's Day 2018: Tweets That Channel #GIRLPOWER

Image result for feminism pinterest

We all moan about social media, but I adore Twitter. Not only is it HILARIOUS and a great way to keep up with news live as it's happening - it's educational! I truly believe this. I feel like there are so many people on Twitter from so many walks of life, that I learn things that I really wouldn't learn anywhere else. I'm educated on controversial issues by people who are living at the very core of it all, which is so beneficial for me and my understanding.

Twitter has made me care so much more about feminism. So for Internation Women's Day 2018 I thought I'd put together my favourite light-hearted tweets that make me proud to be a kick-ass female 😘

I LOVE Reese Witherspoon and everything she stands for. She knows her god damn worth and she's going to polish her achievements till they shine like they should ✨

Love or hate reality TV, I am LIVING for Mettisse off Survival Of The Fittest - she is BAD ASS. During a challenge she was literally hanging off a log with one arm and inspecting her nails 💅🏻

I love Stacey Solomon for not only handling trolls with such grace, but serving some truths about girls. Yep, we sweat! Yep, we get patches! And we shouldn't be attacked for being a fully functioning human, ok?! 👋

We all need to learn from this three-year-old. You better believe we can be anything we want to be 💪🏻

We've all had those guys on nights out that are super creepy. So what do we do? Mock them. Yes we do. You go girls 👊

Now, of course, you don't have to be a woman to be a feminist. I love this thread! Feminists of the world unite 👯

I adore reading these types of stories on Twitter. I love that us women have each other's backs, even if we're strangers. It's beautiful 💖

And finally, we don't even have time for that sh*t mentality.

Mother’s Day Gift Guide 2018

So its great buying presents for people when you know exactly what to buy… but what if you have no idea?! This is me most ‘parents’ days. I mean, they already get one present on their birthday, and now I have to buy them ANOTHER ONE?

Luckily, I already knew what I was buying my mum this year. But even so, I thought it would be fun to put together a list of other things I would have loved to get her. We all love to spoil our mums, no matter what budget we’re on, so hopefully these we’ll give you some good ideas…

The one for the: SASSY MUM
I am obsessed with this sweatshirt (£34) from Rock On Ruby – it is so bad ass!!! It comes in grey, pink and white. I like the grey the most, and you can even get it personalised. The lightning bolt is so retro and cool which looove!

The one for the: ARTSY MUM
Urgh I LOVE the Oliver Bonas Astratto collection. I bought my mum the Tea for One Set (£30) for Christmas, not because she necessarily drinks that much tea, it’s just SO beautiful. These teacups (£48) are so gorgeous. I love the prints with the gold, and I especially love cute little saucers.

The one for the: TECHY MUM
Buy kate spade new york Floral Hard Case for iPhone X Online at johnlewis.com
Ok, so this isn’t that hi-tech, but it is for most mums if they’re like mine! These Kate Spade iPhone Cases (£34.95) are so lovely, the floral print is so cute. They’re such a great gift because you wouldn’t ever spend that money on an iPhone case for yourself, but they’re such an essential.

The one for the: SENTIMENTAL MUM
I’ve always loved these personalised prints but they’ve never been quite right. My mum wouldn’t really be in to the music ones, or the cheesy family ones. I love these prints (£49) by Bookishly because not only are they GORGEOUS but I feel like everyone has a special place. It might be where her children grew up, where she grew up, where you went on family holidays, etc. I think they just make the best gift!

The one for the: HOMELY MUM
Amara Pink Heart Bowls Set of Three
These heart bowls (£32) are so so so sweet. Admittedly, your mum would have to have a certain cutesy style in her home for these to be the perfect gift. I feel like that style is quite in at the moment though, and these bowls are super versatile. You could use them for nibbles in the kitchen, for trinkets in the bedroom, or for little toiletries in the bathroom. What’s even better is that with every purchase, Oliver Bonas donate £2 to The Eve Appeal, which is a great charity that supports gynaecological cancer research.

The one for the: BOOZY MUM
Buy Edinburgh Gin Pomegranate & Rose Liqueur, 50cl Online at johnlewis.com
Everyone knows that getting a bottle for someone is such a boring and standard present. But I do think that finding a cool bottle of something new that someone hasn’t tried is actually a really thoughtful gift! This Pomeganate & Rose Liqueur (£18) looks beautiful, tastes delicious, and it is meant to be really good in prosecco or a G&T!

The one for the: ‘DOESN’T LIKE GIFTS’ MUM
Sometimes a gift just won't cut it! But who has enough money to take their mum on the 5* holiday they deserve? Experience gifts are really great for mums that are really hard to buy for or that don’t like presents. They aren’t too expensive either! Virgin do loads of different experience days which are really affordable. This afternoon tea looks so cute, and they are all over the UK so I'm sure there'll be one near you.

The one for the: LAST MINUTE DAUGHTER!!!
If I ever need a gift in a hurry, I always head to ASOS. I have premier delivery and which is SUCH a lifesaver. Their next day delivery is so reliable, and they have such a good selection of gifts which are actually really unique. I love their selections of pillowcases, and I think they are such lovely gifts for mums.

So I hope this has given you a bit of inspiration for what to get for your lovely mum. Have you already got your Mother’s Day gifts sorted? What are you thinking of getting?

My Current Top 5 Youtubers

Image result for youtube marble logo

If you know me you’ll know I spend hours and hours watching YouTube videos. I love watching anything from makeup, fashion, cooking and cleaning – I watch it all! Obviously, I have my all-time favourites which I always watch, but I am always on the lookout for new people to watch too. I have just quickly gone on to my YouTube and taken note of my top five most watched. Here they are…

Image result for madison sarah

I am watching this girl so much recently, she is so so lovely and I love that she’s from Manchester! She is GORGEOUS and her fashion sense is amazing! I love watching her haul videos and seeing what she picks out. She and her boyfriend are super cute and so lovely to watch – I love it when he makes an appearance on her channel!

Image result for michael finch youtube

I have always watched Michael Finch – I find him absolutely hilarious. He knows his sh*t when it comes to makeup and I would trust his opinion on absolutely anything beauty related. I love watching his tutorials because I know every product will be incredible, and I have bought so many products just because I’ve seen him use them in a video. If Michael loves it then I’ll buy it!

Image result for helen anderson youtube 2018

I’ve loved Helen for so many years. She's a breath of fresh air and just radiates everything that I want to be. Her attitude towards life is so incredible and inspiring - I love how she is spontaneous, chilled out and basically doesn’t give a f**k. Not to mention her fashion sense is so so so cool. I am super jealous of how daring she is – she can actually rock anything!

Image result for elle darby youtube

I’ve watched Elle for a long time but I’ve recently got back into binge watching her videos after all the *controversy* recently… She is genuinely such a sweet person, and so like me - I can actually imagine myself being really good friends with her! Her health and fitness videos are so good, and I love how she shows she is such a normal person. I love that she has a banging body but she openly says when she’s been slacking at the gym or if she’s just going to order a massive Dominos 🍕🍕🍕

Image result for lucy jessica carter youtube

Lucy is Elle’s sister, and I love her too! I watch her for very different reasons though. Lucy is genuinely ‘life goals’. She is absolutely gorgeous, she has the perfect home, a beautiful family – she is just such a joy to watch! I love watching her vlogs and lifestyle videos, although they just make me really want my own home! Weirdly, I am now obsessed with Dettol Anti-Bacterial wipes because of her... You know you’re an adult when you watch people clean on YouTube, right?

Which YouTubers have you been loving at the moment? Do you watch any of the same people as me?
