Galentines Night In (Pt. II): Must Have Products For The Perfect Pamper Night

If you read part one of Galentines Night In (here!) you’ll remember I went through how I would set up a perfect night in with all my friends with candles, PJs, food...

But if you’re looking to have a real pamper session then you need some bomb products to really revamp your squad and make you all feel brand new!

Here’s my perfect 4-step pamper routine for a relaxing, fun night in with your pals! Or if you’re going solo on Galentines day, take some ‘me time’ and enjoy indulging in some self-care…

1. CLEANSING

Before I do any kind of pampering I like to make sure my skin is squeaky clean. I’m a huge advocate of the double-cleanse: before I shower I’ll always use The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Oil (£12) to remove all my makeup. It’s amazing for sensitive skin and removes every trace of makeup, even waterproof mascara! Then, I’ll use Clinique Liquid Facial Soap for Oily Skin (£16.50) to remove any left-over oil and properly cleanse my skin. It’s honestly the best face wash I’ve ever used, and if I ever stray from it I 100% regret it!

2. EXFOLIATING
Then I jump in the shower and use Soap & Glory Flake Away Body Polish (£8) with some exfoliating gloves – obviously you won’t do this step if you’re with your friends! I have used so many different scrubs, and Soap & Glory have always come out top – Flake Away is hands down the best one! The gigantic tub is full of butters and oils so it’s really kind to your skin while scrubbing away any dry patches. I love to use gorgeous scents on my body, but my face is far too sensitive. My gentle face scrub of choice is the Clinique Exfoliating Scrub (£20). The price is obviously pretty hefty for a scrub but you only need the tiniest amount, and it lasts about 6 months.

3. MASKS
I love to use masks on my skin and hair when I feel like they’re looking a bit dull. I’ve tried so many expensive hair masks like Redken, Kerastase, etc. and I honestly don’t think it’s worth the money! The best mask I’ve ever used is the TRESseme Keratin Smooth Deep Treatment Mask (£2.86 at Superdrug atm!), it just does everything you could hope from a hair mask.
I have also used a heap of facemasks, and my favourite mask of all time has to be the Kiehl’s Rare Earth Pore Cleansing Masque (£23.50). It’s a clay mask which really cleans out your pores and is perfect when you have an angry breakout. If my skin is feeling drier, I prefer to use a gentler mask, like The Body Shop Warming Mineral Mask (£11) which is a lot more hydrating and soothing.

4. MOISTURISE
My favourite step of all!
Once I have removed my facemask, I will tone with Clinique’s Clarifying Lotion 3 (£26.50), and moisturise with their Moisturising Gel for Oily/Combination skin (£30)When moisturising my body I prefer to go with something a lot more thick and luxurious. At the moment, I’ve still been using the iconic Soap & Glory Righteous Butter (£10)but the diamond edition. Oh my god, I did not think this butter could get better. They have added diamond dust (!!!) To their notorious moisturiser, and it is honestly like a strobe cream for your body! It hasn’t affected the formula that we all love at all – the buttery cream is still quick absorbing, super hydrating and non-greasy.
My hand after application - so glowy!

When I have a pamper session I honestly feel like a brand-new person, so hopefully this little routine will give you and your girls a new lease of life this Galentines Day! If you haven’t already, check out Part 1 of this post, for all things food, film, and some special guests!

What are your pamper night essentials? Have you tried any of the products I’ve talked about?
